Got cooking skills? Looking to help transport food to our neighbours in need? Join our Meals for Neighbours Team! This team works together to demonstrate the good news about Jesus by creating, delivering, and serving fresh meals for those who struggle with issues related to addiction and mental illness in Scarborough. This is a great opportunity to help this community experience God's love by committing to cooking or helping us transport meals.

Please note, cooking is done at home a day or two ahead, refrigerated and dropped off at the church on Sunday to be transported by designated drivers to the residence in Scarborough.

Time Commitment: Monthly or occasionally as needed

Restore Method of Care Canada is a charitable organization committed to helping people in distress experience a sustainable turnaround and realize God’s dream for their life. They do this through a network of volunteers and churches trained in the Restore ‘Care’ method to mentor people in distress, assess their financial needs, build a sustainable plan of action and surround them with a community.

If you want to be a Care Planner (grassroots volunteer/ mentor) or a Founder (starting a Restore Hub in your community with a team), please email info@restorecanada.org.

Do you have a heart for families, loving children, and helping the vulnerable? Do you want to respond to God's call to extend biblical hospitality to those around us? If so, consider joining our Safe Families Team! Safe Families trains and equips Christians to temporarily host children in their home while parents who have little to no support are working through a crisis.

Not able to host? You can still help! There are many other ways you can support this ministry through friendship, coaching, and resourcing.

Do you have a heart to serve people experiencing food insecurity? Do you enjoy building relationships with the Toronto community? If so, join us in partnering with Scott Mission! This SERVE Team will work together to feed those in crisis at the Food Distribution Center located on the Bayview Glen Church property.

Do you long to be Jesus' hands and feet to the poor and marginalized in our community? Are you able to put together a sandwich and some snacks? If so, the TAC Meals is for you! Every 3-4 months, we prepare and transport sandwich meal bags for the homeless people of downtown Toronto, which are distributed by staff and volunteers of Toronto Alliance Church (TAC).

Time Commitment: The 5th Saturday of any month that has 5 Saturdays.

Our Admin SERVE Team plays a key role in making our church office run smoothly! Come be a part of our fun office environment while managing a variety of tasks such as monitoring our general email inbox, prayer and care requests, Connect cards, phone inquiries, and any resources needed for ministry initiatives and events.

Not a conversationalist? No problem! There are many ways to serve on Alpha. Audio visual, preparing and serving food, atmosphere creation, prayer, table host, or table helper are just some of the SERVE opportunities available for you on Alpha!

At Bayview Youth, our goal is to see students experience the love of God and His created purpose for them. Being a youth leader gives you the opportunity to help in many ways. Your main duties will include preparing youth content each week, checking in with students with whom you are connected, and attending youth events and gatherings.

Are you a creative person? Are you captivated by storytelling? Do you get excited about using your gifts in photography, copywriting, graphic design, social media, or project management? If so, this is the perfect team for you! As part of the Creative Communications SERVE Team, you will be responsible for helping capture the essence of what God is doing in people's lives and in our church.

Time Commitment: Project-based, at least once per month

Do you enjoy diving into different hands-on projects and being able to connect with likeminded individuals along the way? The Facilities Team provides weekly cleaning of our church building and assists with various other projects as they arise. These projects may include deep cleaning of rooms, setting up decor for special gatherings, building stage sets, painting, spring and fall yard clean-ups, and landscape projects.

Time Commitment: Project-based, at least once per month

Are you longing for community? Do you want to see the "bigger picture" of how God is working in our church family? A Life Group is a "Family of Sent Servants" that shares life on mission together. Here, we gather to celebrate, give thanks, and remember God's work in our lives over a family meal. We also meet in Huddles to go deeper with each other and with God.

Time Commitment: Weekly or biweekly on any day of the week.

Do you have a heart to pray for others? Our Prayer Partners pray for the needs of everyone who requests prayer.

Prayer Partners meet online each month for the Prayer Gathering, which takes place on the first Tuesday of every month. During the Prayer Gatherings, our Prayer Partners worship and pray with other attendees over Zoom.

When possible, Prayer Partners will also be available in-person after Sunday worship services to pray for church attendees who request prayer following the service.

Time Commitment: We meet once a month in-person at church on the second Sunday of the month at 9:30am.

We are looking for people with technical and creative production skills and abilities. If you or someone you know is gifted in this area, we would like you to prayerfully consider joining our Serve team. We would love to speak with you.

This team helps deliver God’s message through video, lighting, and other visual elements! Serve in different positions like media operation, floor management, audio engineering, camera operation, and videography.

It is our hope that this team will not only use their gifts to enable further outreach but also, we will create a space where you can grow community and friendships and receive spiritual encouragement yourself.

Time Commitment: At least once per month during Sunday services.

Musicians & Singers

Are you looking to use your God-given talents to help the the church engage with God through worship? Come join our team! When scheduled for a worship service, musicians and singers are required to first practise on their own, (vocalists attend the mid-week rehearsal), and finally, to serve alongside one another during both Sunday morning services.

Time Commitment: At least once per month on Wednesday evening (for vocalists only) & Sunday morning.
