ESL Classes (All Levels)

Come join our ESL classes, held weekly every Monday and Thursday, except on public holidays. These classes are designed for all levels and are for people from different cultures who want to improve their English.

Looking for community, connection, and fun? Bayview Young Adults is the place to be! We meet every Tuesday night from 7–9 PM (except for the Tuesday after a holiday) in the gym for a variety of events like:

Life Groups Launch
When: Saturday, Sept 20 (Full Day)

At their core, Life Groups are about discipleship, a lifelong journey of becoming more like Jesus with others and for the sake of others. Think of them as a community of practice, a safe space to ask honest questions, develop spiritual habits, and grow in faith together.
Our Life Group Launch Day is designed to help you build real connections and form a community where faith is lived out together. Through fun activities and meaningful conversations, we’ll lay the foundation for your Life Group as you launch into your rhythms.
Community Care Info Session
When: Sunday, September 21
Where: Bayview Glen Church (The Hub - located upstairs)
Time: 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM
We’re building something new — and we’d love for you to be part of it.
Our church is forming a Community Care Team: a multigenerational group of compassionate, Spirit-led people who will walk alongside our congregation through seasons of grief, illness, mental health challenges, and other life circumstances.
This won’t just be a team that responds to needs; it will also be a space of discernment and creativity, where together we shape how our church can provide care in ways that are both meaningful and Spirit-led.
You don’t need a professional background to join, though gifts in social work, psychotherapy, or pastoral care are welcome. Most of all, we’re looking for people with a heart to serve, to listen, and to meet practical needs with love.
Alpha Youth
When: Fridays, starting September 26
Where: Bayview Glen Church
Time: 7 to 9 PM
Alpha Youth is a place to be yourself, have fun, and dive into the big questions of life and faith. Starting Friday, September 26, we’ll get together each week to share some food, watch a short video, and have real conversations. No question is too big, too small, or off-limits—your thoughts and doubts are always welcome.
Whether you’ve been around church forever, are just curious, or aren’t sure what you believe, Alpha Youth is for you. Come as you are, bring your friends, and find a space where you can connect, explore, and be real.
Family Dedications

Have a baby or small child? Our Family Dedication is a service where parents make a public commitment to raise their child according to the ways of God. It's not an act of salvation but rather a blessing over the family. It's also an opportunity for our church family to come alongside you during this special time.

Meet our Board of Elders after every Sunday service on September 21. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, hear their heart and vision for Bayview, and build deeper connections with those leading our church family.
Annual Meeting of Ministry Partners

We invite all Ministry Partners and congregants to join us for our Annual Meeting of Ministry Partners! This is a key time to come together as a community, celebrate what God has been doing, hear important ministry updates, review the financial report, and look ahead to the vision for the upcoming year. Ministry Partners will also have the opportunity to vote, either in person or online through their mobile device. Your participation not only fulfills an important organizational requirement but also ensures your voice helps shape the future of our church’s ministry and resources.
The AMMP is open to anyone, but only Ministry Partners are eligible to vote.

SERVE: Thanksgiving Meals for Neighbours

This Thanksgiving, let’s come together to share more than just a meal.
At 682 Warden Ave, many of our neighbours face challenges like poverty, isolation, mental illness, and addiction. This Thanksgiving season, we have the opportunity to bring them comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging through a warm, home-cooked meal.
There are several ways you and your family can get involved and make a real difference, from cooking and serving meals to being part of our cleanup crew.
Join us in making this Thanksgiving a warm, welcoming, and joyful experience for our community.

Young Adults Thanksgiving Potluck

We are so excited for our third annual Thanksgiving Potluck!
Last year's Thanksgiving potluck featured an incredible spread of delicious food, and we're aiming to make this one even better.
This potluck event also launches a new season for our Young Adult group, so invite your friends and enjoy an evening of fun, food, and fellowship!
Baptism Classes

Take the Next Step: Baptism Classes Starting Sunday, November 2
Baptism is more than a tradition — it’s a public celebration of the “YES!” you’ve said to Jesus. It’s an outward expression of the new life He has given you.
Join us as we gather to share our stories, learn about the meaning of baptism, reflect on our faith journeys, and prepare for the upcoming baptism service. This is a space to connect, grow, and celebrate together.
A light lunch will be provided. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions when you register.

Life Groups: Leadership Launch
When: Thursday, September 11
Where: Zoom (meeting link will be provided closer to date)

Life Group Leaders are integral to fostering an intimate community at a church and helping others grow in Jesus. They are ready to share life, live out how God is leading them, and put Jesus First in community with each other.
LG Leaders recognize they are 'works-in-progress' and are open to learning alongside their LG members. All you need to be is authentic, spiritually maturing, and teachable!

Fall Kickoff BBQ

We’re excited to wrap up an amazing summer together at our Fall Kickoff BBQ!
Everyone is welcome, so bring a friend or invite a neighbour for an evening of tasty BBQ, fireworks, s’mores, and lots of activities for all ages, with plenty of time to connect as we celebrate all that God has done this summer and look ahead with excitement to the fall season.
No registration is needed—just show up. We can’t wait to see you!
Update: Due to high winds, the BBQ will now take place indoors. We're hoping the winds calm down by evening so we can still enjoy fireworks and campfire s’mores to wrap up the night.

To help keep our lot open for seniors and those with limited mobility, we’re asking everyone else to please park at Tyndale University. It’s about a 10-minute walk, and a shuttle will be running regularly to bring you to and from the church. You can find the parking map here.

At this info session, you'll hear how we’re partnering with New Ventures (a ministry of The Alliance Canada) to launch Discerning Communities across the GTA: short-term, prayerful teams committed to listening, learning, and preparing to be sent.

Help us make room for guests this summer by parking off-site and riding the shuttle to Bayview Glen Church!
Starting Sunday, July 6, our Summer Shuttle Service will run every Sunday between Tyndale University (Lots E & F) and Bayview Glen from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Parking at Tyndale helps us open up prime spaces in the main lot for guests and newcomers, and that makes a big difference.
At the Tyndale Lot:
Look for the canopy and signage to gather for the shuttle
Juice and water are available while you wait
A beautiful 10–12 minute walk option if you’d rather stroll with friends
At Bayview Glen:
To return after service, head to the café to catch the shuttle back
No RSVP is required. Just show up, park, and ride!
Bayview Kids Camp Supply Drive
When: Sunday, May 18-Sunday, June 29

Help us equip kids and youth for an unforgettable summer at camp! We’re collecting supplies and donations to support our Bayview Kids and Youth as they explore what it means to follow Jesus with courage and confidence!

What started as a Bayview Kids & Youth celebration is now a church-wide summer kick-off for everyone. Let’s come together to celebrate all God has done, build meaningful community, and step into summer with courage and confidence.
We’ll have BBQ food, snacks, s'mores, bonfire worship and special kids and youth elements, something for all ages! The event is outdoors, so dress for the weather and bring a sweater just in case.
No registration needed. Everyone’s welcome. Bring a friend and come ready for a joyful night of connection and summer fun!

Divine Violence: A Speaker Series

Join us for a thought-provoking evening as we explore one of the most challenging topics in faith and scripture: divine violence. This panel discussion brings together respected voices from Christian and Jewish traditions to unpack the historical, theological, and ethical dimensions of divine violence in the Bible.
Speakers include:
• Dr. Gord Oeste – Adjunct Professor of Biblical Studies at Tyndale University, specializing in warfare in the Bible and the ancient Near East.
• Dr. Logan Gates – Christian apologist and Adjunct Speaker with Apologetics Canada, with expertise in political theory and the history of political thought.
• Rabbi Jarrod Grover – Senior Rabbi at Beth Tikvah, known for his commitment to Jewish tradition, Israel engagement, egalitarianism, and social justice.
Come with questions and curiosity as we wrestle with how sacred texts portray violence—and how we should understand and respond to these portrayals today.
Fundraiser Night: Kenya Medical Mission Trip

Come out for an evening of food, fun, and purpose at Bayview Glen Church as we help raise funds for an upcoming medical mission trip to Kenya!
A team is heading to rural Kenya to provide much-needed care for thousands of orphans and community members.
Enjoy a movie, dinner, bake sale & silent auction. All proceeds will go toward vital medicine and supplies for the medical camp. Bring friends, bring cash, and be part of something meaningful!
